What is Australia Travel Insurance, and why do you need it?
Australia is a top holiday destination for Brits. In 2023, Australians welcomed nearly 540,000 British tourists, and it’s easy to see why.
Any trip can take a turn. You could lose your wallet at Bondi Beach or injure yourself while snorkelling. Outside of the UK, medical treatments can be expensive. With Travel Insurance from AllClear, you’re covered. We’ll even offer protection if you have a pre-existing medical condition. Plus, we cover lost luggage, cancelled holidays, and travel delays.
While Australia isn’t a dangerous country for tourists, Travel Insurance is still essential:
- It’s not uncommon to run into trouble in Australia, especially if you’re off the beaten path. There are multiple search and rescue operations each year in the Australian outback as tourists become lost. It’s important to have cover if you need to be evacuated to a hospital from a remote location.
- Australia is infamous for its animals and many are dangerous. In one year there were 23,380 hospitalisations due to contact with animals in Australia. The right kind of Travel Insurance means you’re not stuck having to cover expensive medical procedures.
- Remember that the Australian Government says if you can’t afford travel insurance, you can’t afford to travel.
Getting the right Travel Insurance policy is the key to travelling with peace of mind. At AllClear, we can cover: All medical conditions. All ages. All destinations. 98% of our customers would recommend us to family and friends, so you’re in good hands4.
