Martin Lewis has again issued his annual warning to holidaymakers, urging them to get Travel Insurance as soon as they book their trip. The financial expert was talking on This Morning on 9th January 2024. Mr Lewis previously told viewers that they were risking their holidays by delaying buying Travel Insurance on The Martin Lewis Money Show on Tuesday, 17th January 2023. The advice is so important that it was repeated on 20th June 2023, as holidaymakers get ready for their summer holidays. The founder of the popular website MoneySavingExpert.com shared that he often receives emails from people who have had to cancel their holiday due to reasons beyond their control. As many travel companies will not provide refunds if you can’t make the trip, these holidaymakers have been left out of pocket. However, as they had yet to set up holiday cover, Mr Lewis cannot help them recover any costs.
